Hello, I am Kotani, the representative of KOTANI CO.,LTD.
Last month, I visited Northern Engineering Sheffield Limited (NES) in the UK with three staff.

I’ve written before about our relationship for over 30 years.

We do business with NES regularly, but this was my first visit to the company in about 13 years.

This June, our staff visited the exhibition in Germany (ACHEMA2018) saw NES staff, and we were invited to the office, then we saw them after all this time.

The representative and leading members of NES changed, and new people from different industries joined, and the company was much better organized than before.

I also sensed a powerful desire to try new field, and I got the impression the company has become better company compared to 13 years ago.

The president of NES not only said hello but also joined the meeting with us, and I felt that he valued our relationship as partner companies.

We toured the factory and were impressed by the well-established environment and reliable quality control system.

This time, we sat down with the people at NES for two full days and rediscovered NES’s strength as a partner company.

The strength is having access to a wide variety of overseas standards and currently working on adopting ISO standards such as aircraft standards.

Up until now, we have been focusing on selling imported products in Japan, but from now on, we will also emphasize exporting products from Japan that meets overseas standards.
(We have already received inquiries from major companies and we feel that there is a great need for overseas standards for export.)

Finally, I realized throughout this visit that the trust relation and good partnership with NES has been based on a long history of business dealings for 30 years.

We will continue to meet our customers’ needs together with NES, which has many overseas standards. Please look forward to it.
